Hygienists remove plaque and tartar from the teeth which not only helps to prevent gum disease<\/a> but also reduces the risk of cavities forming. If you already have gum disease, regular visits to the hygienist can slow its progression and help you keep your teeth for longer.<\/p>\n

As well as removing the plaque and tartar, the hygienist can show you ways to look after your teeth from home which is really important. Showing you how to give your teeth and gums the best daily care will help you to keep them clean, healthy and looking their best.<\/p>\n
